10 Legitimate Work From Home Sites That Can Make You Money!

It is generally very hard to find work from home companies that offer 2 things: Legitimacy and good pay.

Today I’ll give you 10 options have both those things. Back when I got involved with the internet marketing world, it was next to impossible to do this.

However because the internet grew so much in the last 2 decades and much of what we do in the offline world is now outsourced online (ordering food, deliveries, eBooks, ect…), many big and legitimate companies have sprouted and taken their business to the internet. This has proved to be a smart investment as they have grown and scaled.

But with this growth, these same companies now require more people to do work for them in order to run these online operations.

What does this mean?

It means that if you know the right places to visit and have the right skill set, you can get paid by these places and in this article, we are going to explore 10 different places that will pay you a GOOD buck to do honest work.

These 10 work from sites I’ll show you are legitimate, so let me show you what they are.

10 legitimate work at home companies

Quick note 1 about some of these work from home sites:

Depending on the site/s you’ll see below, some will require you have one type of skill set. In other words, not every single place on the list may suite you, but the good news is that it’s very diverse so odds are no matter what your skill set is, you’ll find at least one or more of the companies displayed below that’ll fit your needs.

Quick note 2: Very important for readers:

If you have ANY questions regarding these companies or are confused and maybe have a situation where you’re not sure if the following companies below suite you, please let me know.

Tell me about your occupation, what you’re seeking to do, what you’re good at, anything to help me, help you figure out a great way to work from home. I’ve been helping with this question for years so I know about this a lot.

Quick note 3: Which company I personally use out of these 10:

While the other 9 are completely legitimate, I use the last one, Wealthy Affiliate.

It is an awesome website where people build internet businesses. Owning your own site which gets daily customers and sales is a very freelance and convenient way to earn a living.

I can travel and work from anywhere and my schedule ends up being very flexible. Not all of the companies below can do that, but for me personally, #1 is most suitable. If you’re the type who wants to make their own business, you’ll really want to check out #1:

10 work from home sites my top choice

But as promised, here are all 10, each holding their own prestige, but at the same time, all of them are legitimate. Let me know which one you like the most below!

10) Fiverr.

fiverr work from home opportunity

Description:

A website that hires just about anyone who has ANY type of skill set related to online services: Content writing, SEO, website design, graphic design, giving out testimonials and much more.

How to know if Fiverr is for you:

If you have one or more of the skills I just mentioned, you can sign up with Fiverr and charge for what’s known as “gigs” which is another word they use for service/s. You can charge $5 or more per service and get paid through the site whenever a new clients hires you for a gig.

The appeal of Fiverr is that it is a very popular site where many business owners and website creators go to outsource certain type/s of work. How popular is this place? Check this out:

However, one thing I particularly do not like about this site is that I wasn’t kidding when I said they hire just about anybody to do work. This can often lead to poor, cheap quality services being done that can hurt the client’s business and it is one of the reasons I’ve personally never used it.

How Fiverr can help you work from home:

But if you can offer great quality work, you can utilize the popularity of this place to get yourself clients/leads and money rather quickly. Clients also review your services on this site so a better rating leads to more business for you.

Maybe you’re a talented graphic designer. Maybe you’re good at internet marketing, but just don’t do it on your own. Whatever the case is, if you’re good at it and Fiverr’s demand pool is perfect for it, you can make money through it.

There are people on Fiverr who make a good side income with getting gigs and the more positive reviews they for popular services and completions of them, the more gigs they’ll get in the process.

9) Amazon Mechanical Turk.

Description:

Mechanical Turk is a branch of the Amazon program itself where people go to outsource pretty much anything they need to be done, generally for websites. It is honestly something I only found out about last year but it is pretty popular:

working from home with amazon mechanical turk

How to know if it’s for you:

If you’re good at following directions someone gives you to do on a website, you should be fine for this.

How Amazon Mechanical Turk can help you work from home:

Usually the opportunity is that someone will go to that site and request that people working on Mechanical Turk will do a favor for their page by doing things like visiting it, leaving a comment, checking to see if something on the site works and so on. And this can all be done from home.

It is a pretty straight forward gig and there’s constantly new ones available for people to check out and make money off. Although the pay is quite small, the gigs are generally also very short, so you can:

Do a lot of them and make a decent amount overtime.

Usually gigs that are easy to do and pay little fill up fast, but new ones come up all the time so it’s important to keep an eye out for them and to choose the ones which pay a fair amount for doing a simple task.

This can for some people become a frustrating task at first, but people have been doing well on it. Maybe not full income well, but enough to make something.

8) Amazon Flex.

Description:

Deliver orders for people who are members of Amazon prime, and do it fast. That’s what Amazon Flex is.

Amazon prime is an added feature of Amazon where people who pay $99 a year or about $11/month can get free shipping off certain orders that go over a certain amount and/or special access to the site to watch videos and other things. It pays (well saves really) to be an Amazon Prime member if you’re on there often and order things often.

How to know if it’s for you:

If you have a car, are good at knowing your local area/s and can make quick deliveries, you can do this job and be part of one of the most known programs in the world, Amazon.

How Amazon Flex can help you work from home:

Now one of the cool things is that Prime members also get pretty quick deliveries and one of the ways they do is through people who work for Amazon Flex. You can get paid over $20/hour for some deliveries and this isn’t exactly a job you do from home, but it’s not traditional either.

7) Task Rabbit.

Description:

Ever buy a piece of furniture and have problems assembling it? Ever try to go through expensive places that will do that for you, but they require that you either come over and/or pay a lot? And in another list of great work at home opportunities I did in 2019, Task Rabbit had to mentioned again!

Enter Task Rabbit, a place where people who are good at assembling/building furniture, fixing common home issues (handyman stuff) and more come over to your place and do the job for a negotiated price.

How Task Rabbit can help you work from “home”:

If you’re not a tech person and are much better with your hands, this job can really work well for you. Just drive to the persons place nearby, complete the job and get paid through Task Rabbit. It’s still a fairly new site, but for the work done, you can get paid pretty well.

It’s not exactly a work from home job, but it is a great option on this list of sites.

Side note: A word about the one company I personally use and trust (Wealthy Affiliate):

6: eHow.com.

making money from home with ehow

Description:

It’s a site where you get paid to write how to articles.

I was actually once “approached” by someone from there who offered me a job to write for them.

I turned it down because at the time, I was (and still am) writing for my own online business so I couldn’t take the time away, but eHow.com is a big site and it’s still a great opportunity.

So if you enjoy writing, you can try this or the other sites on this list I’ll mention shortly.

How eHow.com can help you work from home:

If you have decent writing skills and know at least one subject for which a how to can be written up on, you can try to use this site to make extra money, and of course it can be from your home.

5 and 4: iWriter.com and Freelancer.com.

Description:

Similar to eHow.com, but here you can theoretically get paid more if you land a good client. Generally people who write well put up their resume on these 2 sites (there’s actually more than these 2, but they are the better ones) and get hired by website owners in need of someone to write content for them.

Now as a writer, it can be hard to land a gig because there’s SO MANY people looking to do this type of work, but if you write well and can land 1 client or more, you can make a decent supplementary income. Some people I’ve known have done this full time. Here’s tips on landing great paying clients if you’re into freelance writing.

How iWriter and Freelancer.com can help you work from home:

The work you do for these 2 sites can be from home. I think anyone who writes well or blogs can benefit from these 2 sites. People who go to college and are in need of extra money will also benefit from this type of online work. You will write an agreed upon article with an X amount of words on an X topic. If it’s accepted, you get paid what was agreed upon. Getting paid from $5-$100 per article is not uncommon if you’re good enough.

Update: I will also add another site that relates to iWriter and Freelancer and that is TextBroker. If you write well, you can get hired pretty quickly and make some decent side cash by becoming a writer there.

3) Udemy.com

Description:

A fantastic site where if you possess ANY sort of knowledge in ANY field, you can create a “course” on it, charge for it and get people within the Udemy community to sign up for it.

Now Udemy gets about 200,000 searches on Google monthly and it probably has that many members if not more. And people love to learn from this site so you can literally look up any topic and sign up for an corresponding courses offered for it.

Here is an example of an instructor on Udemy who made a course on MBA topics. At $15 per person, he signed up well over 80,000 people which by my math is over a million dollars made (minus fees, expenses by the Udemy site likely), but it’s still a crazy income:

how udemy helps you work from home

How Udemy can help you work from home:

If you have experience in a popular field and can create an organized, high quality course out of it, Udemy just may be the opportunity you seek to work from home full time with the amount of people it can get to sign up for that course.

2) Lynda.com:

lynda.com work from home opportunity

Description:

Similar to Udemy, but not as popular. Lynda.com offers similar opportunities as Udemy. More information on Lynda.com.

How Lynda.com can help you work from home:

Same one was with Udemy. There is also one called Skillshare, which is also legitimate and worth considering as well.

1) Wealthy Affiliate.

Description:

My personal preference. It is an online business “university” that provides users with training on starting their own online business based on an interest or hobby they like.

Users learn to build their own websites, get traffic and build a fully run and full time business from home.

Note: And membership is free as well.

How Wealthy Affiliate can help you work from home:

This company doesn’t really give you a job, but it teaches you to create your own business and that becomes it’s own work at home opportunity, which I’ve personally used for years. Here is my personal Wealthy Affiliate review and here are success stories of Wealthy Affiliate members.

Honestly, even if you are perfect for one or all of the opportunities above and/or you are experienced in a hobby/niche that many people are also interested in, I strongly recommend trying Wealthy Affiliate to learn how to make a business out of this interest.

I’ve actually used that program to make a number of websites in various topics I have knowledge in. I can defiantly tell you this: If you know anything that is of value (perhaps you know how to get into shape or even something as unusual as being good at video games), you can absolutely do something with this knowledge and earn money from it from with the help and training you get from this program.

Say we take a few of the above examples and some others…

Perhaps you know a lot about web design. WA can teach you to find clients in your local area to do some good work for them and for good prices.

Perhaps you are a good handyman. You can create a website where you also teach people to become handymen and sell them products without having to do the hard labor yourself.

Perhaps you are a dog owner and know how to take care of it well, so you can start a dog caring website and give other dog owners tips on keeping their pets healthy.

The point is, ANY sort of topic you have experience on can turn into an online business with the help of Wealthy Affiliate.

And with the online business model they teach, your clients are in limitless amounts since you are marketing to the world, whereas if you were doing it through something like Udemy, you would be able to get clients, but in a more limited amount since it would be in an enclosed network.

My final thoughts:

Most of these work at home companies and the people looking for them have the following that make both groups perfect for each other:

  • The work at home company needs to have honest work done to build their business.
  • The person looking to do an honest job needs to find an honest company.

Hence if you look at these 10 places, with the exception of #10 since you’ll build your own business here, you can really make some good money doing this.

  1. Great article and I did not know that there are many different types of online businesses that could help you in achieving your financial goal.

Wealthy Affiliate seems like a healthy option (not that the rest are unhealthy) for the fact that it helps you to grow from your hobby or interest. I personally like the idea of it.

  2. Hi Vitaliy

Thanks for sharing this eye opener article.

I have tried some of these 10 ways that you mention and I’m glad to find out in your review that they are all legit. I’ve not tried Amazon Flex or Amazon Mechanical Turk, though. I’ve, however, liked them.

This is especially for Amazon Flex because it really requires no skills except having the right assets to work with. I was just wondering if Amazon employs an interested person, or you just apply as a freelance delivery guy- and how do they ensure some people do not run away with their (Amazon’s) customers’ stuff? Thanks.

    • I’m sure they have a policy for what kinds of people they hire so these sorts of scenarios are minimized from happening.

  3. Hi Vitaliy,

Thank you for this wonderful post. You have mentioned two things that I had never heard lately, like Mechanical Turk and Amazon Flex. Have you try this stuff and make side hustle? I like the last part or the number 10. Wealthy Affiliate is the best of them.

    Again thank you,

    Julius Orias

    • Hi Julius, I briefly tried Mechanical Turk simply to test it, at the time I discovered these places, I was already involved with and doing #10, so these were just extra options I learned about throughout my experiences, but #10 was really all I needed.

  4. Wow, thanks for this article. You mentioned a few I had never heard of before, like Amazon Mechanical Turk and Amazon Flex. Do you have any information on how much is paid to the people who monitor videos for Facebook, YouTube and others to make sure the content isn’t inappropriate?

    • Those are 2 programs I have no experience with, but I know they have jobs as being moderators, you would have to contact FB and YouTube directly to inquire about that Victoria.

  5. Thanks for the sharing on the legitimate companies to consider. I have heard of some and not the others, so the information on your page was certainly very valuable. I was wondering if you had came across Coursera as a legitimate site as well? From my understanding it might be a little similar to Udemy and Lynda-com, thanks in advance!

    • I have never heard of Coursera Merrell, but I will check it and if it is legitimate, I will add an addition list in the future with that program on it.

  6. Thank you for this great information! I’m always looking for ways to make extra money online. I’ve heard of some of these opportunities, but never took the time to really research them.

I use Amazon for everything and am interested in both the Amazon Mechanical Turk and Amazon Flex. In order to work for Amazon Flex do you have to live near an Amazon facility?

I also love to write and a lot of these opportunities are looking for good writers. I’ll have to check them out.

    Thank you!

    Weston

    Reply
    • You would have to first submit your application to Amazon and see if they accept you and if so, which facility or private vendor potentially is in the area for you to operate out of it Weston.

The other several opportunities available for writers are very much worth looking at: Fiverr, Upwork, Udemy, Lynda and Wealthy Affiliate are all great. The first 4 are better if you want to work for someone, but the last one is better if you want to operate as a business person.

  7. Really Good Info. I just want to point out that these sites can sometimes be integrated to earn even more online. For example you can sign up for Wealthy Affiliate and create your own site within your niche, then use that site to become a Udemy affiliate that sends even more traffic to your site. This is what I do sometimes, works like a charm. Great Blog!

    Reply
    • Yeah this is definitely an option, but you have to tread very carefully in this. I have actually considered doing something like that before Patrice, but Udemy has some very strict policies on advertising other programs. You can only really do it in the author bio you set there from what I remember.

  8. Very interesting article 🙂 I am following the guides on Wealthy Affiliate to create my own site, and it is progressing nicely, I just got indexed in google which was a nice first step.

I love writing, and I love the idea of being able to make a living out of it. On my site I write about fantasy books and things related to fantasy books.

Do you have any tips, tricks or insights on the sort of programs or plugins one should have to start monetizing your site?

Thank you for the really engaging post about the company and services that I didn’t know some of them. I’m interested in the Udemy and I want to check it out.

  10. Hi Vitaliy,

Very informative article. Some of these I have heard of and some I have used. Thanks to you I now know of a couple that I didn’t know about. There really is something for everyone.

Like you, I tried in the early days but there were more too many sites ripping you off. I guess over time only the best have survived?

Thanks for the time you have taken in writing this article. I love the layout, Easy to read and good use of colour.

  11. Hey,

What a great site/post! This is very informative and provides awesome feedback about each program you have recommended. I especially like the one about Udemy- I had no idea of the potential! I think I will even sign up and poke around in there.

I also enjoyed the bit about Amazon Flex. I didn’t know Amazon would trust other people to deliver the packages. Interesting model, but I guess everything these days seems to be going toward a “ride-sharing” type of business model.

You can definitely do multiple options here, but it’s a matter of the work you will put in vs what you will earn and I think being retired, you can earn the most with #10.

Fortunately and unfortunately, I just bought a jeep and put a lift and big tires on it, so it’s TERRIBLE on gas. Guess I’ll be sticking to the online stuff for now haha.

Now, with Wealthy Affiliate I personally really enjoy. The community is there for you. The lessons are easy to follow and easy to implement. They have loads of free tools to use. One of my favorite’s is the keyword tool. Makes my life a lot easier. So for anyone looking to cut their piece of the pie join Wealthy Affiliate.

  15. You have dealt some very interesting ways of making money online. Personally, I’d like to work on my passion at home and wouldn’t want to have a formal employment that is so limiting and restricting. For many years I’ve been employed and have been living on salary. I’d like to change this and make my own money.

At the same time, I’d like to establish a business online that has a future. I’ve noticed that some of the jobs you have described will demand that you work for somebody else who will pay you in turn. I’d like become my own boss, work on my passion and earn from it. For this reason Wealthy Affiliate fits me best.

My question is this. We have a lot of people from third world countries that love to work online but they have challenges of cashing out their pay. Do any of these companies pay apart from PayPal?

    Thank you.

    John

    • This is a good question, I know certain companies MAY have restrictions on payouts and hiring people from certain countries, so you would have to manually contact the company you’re interested in, let them know this and ask if it’s possible and if so, if there’s something other than PayPal available, such as direct check.

  17. I’ve tried many different things over the years. MLMs of various types (don’t do it). Selling on ebay (fun but should be epay)

Some of these look good! Was asking myself do I write well enough to have a look at iwriter or freelancer?

Udemy looks interesting to me. I’m an engineer by trade so maybe I could write a course – but that sounds really hard!

Wealthy Affiliate is something I joined for free, but am learning an incredible amount about the technology of our time – the internet.

After paying others to help me learn this. Wealthy Affiliate has been the best way to catch up – so I’m not left behind.

    • Even though I love Wealthy Affiliate Rick, I would say both that program and Udemy may benefit you best. I would not consider iWriter or Freelancer yet unless you studied from WA enough to know how to write articles in a marketable way.

  22. Hey Vitaliy!

That’s an interesting list to take into account when it comes to making money from home.

I knew some of them but Task Rabbit and Amazon Flex are new for me. I didn’t know that you can actually deliver products for Amazon on your local area, that’s cool!

It’s good to know that there are so many forms out there to make a living on your own terms, and I agree with you that Wealthy Affiliate is really the best online platform to create your own business.

    Thanks for the thorough information!

    • Hi Israel, you know I’ll be honest, I also didn’t know about Amazon Flex until I studied up on different programs. It makes so much sense for Amazon to do this because if they can deliver products quickly to their customers, they’ll just be used more and more often, so it leaves the door open for this type of opportunity which clearly Amazon siezed 🙂

I actually only knew a few of these, but I have to say they all sound interesting. Is freelancer anything like upwork?

    • Hi Marcus, freelancer is similar to upwork yes. As for your law degree, you have a great opportunity to make a website where you answer common law questions, I would however start on a particular topic in law, such as bankruptcy. Check out Nolo.com, it’s a great website where lawyers share their knowledge, it’ll give you a ton of ideas.

    • Yeah as I always tell people, you need to pick out something that matches your personal taste and situation. For business, WA is the best to start with and maybe later take it to Fiverr, or if you enjoy just teaching and need a gig, I am totally for Udemy for instance.

  28. This is a great list, Vitaliy! Some of these I have heard of, but some of these I have not.

One that I find particularly interesting is Amazon Flex. I currently drive for Uber and Lyft – both are available in my hometown – and Amazon Flex seems like it would be a good fit. I think it would be a lot more relaxing to deliver items to people than delivering people to places. Don’t get me wrong… it is fun, but let’s just say I never have to worry about an item ordered from Amazon throwing up in my car. LOL

BTW, I can second your write-up about Wealthy Affiliate. I can’t really imagine someone who would not benefit from it, and since it’s free to get started, I don’t know wny everyone wouldn’t give it a try.

    • Hi Andy, thanks for sharing this. Yeah I would imagine there is much less hassle in delivering items vs driving unpredictable people (and safer!). Glad you agree with me on WA 🙂

  29. I love this post because it answers a very important question. That question is how to make money from home?

But i wanted to ask you, what is the best one for someone who is looking to start making money from home but has no experience what so ever?

I’m asking this because i find it very frustrating finding out that loads of people are making money online when they didn’t even finish college but I’m not making any when I’m very educated. I must have been studying the wrong thing lol.

    • It depends on your skill set Marshall. If you want to work for someone, any of the top 9 will work. #10 is best for people who wish to do their own thing and own a business, which I honestly prefer.

  30. There were a few that I never heard of before and I will definitely check into them. I am really interested in the Amazon flex, I knew people did this because I had Amazon deliveries to my house, and they were coming from individuals in their own cars.

This information certainly gives people a great starting point to help them earn extra cash. Wouldn’t it be great if everyone could think outside of the box??

    Thanks,

    Angela

    • Well I guess it would, but most people just don’t. I actually don’t mind this, the world and society is always driven (no pun intended!) by the few, particularly entrepreneurs!

  31. Hi Vitaliy

Interesting post, and definitely different ideas than the run of the mill work from home articles.

And I’ve never heard of Amazon Turk, Task Rabit, or Lynda. I use Udemy from time to time, so I went to check out Lynda. I didn’t look to see how much they pay for courses, but maybe more than Udemy because I think they are more expensive.

I know that the internet growth is nowhere near a plateau so there will be more and more people looking to take advantage of it financially.

    • Hi Mike, it sounds like you use Udemy to study up on the lessons they provide, but have you ever though about partaking in their opportunity by becoming an instructor? There’s tremendous opportunity there and I would not shy away from it 🙂

  32. I had an experience with Fiverr. I had to help out a client with a logo design for their website.

After two proofreads, the client was satisfied. It actually never took me long to do the work and it was the quickest cash that I had ever made.

I like the ‘Udemy’ option. I like the idea of putting together my own course and getting paid for it.

I also would not mind building my own business and Wealthy Affiliate sounds like the way to go.

So much options, at least, it gives me hope that one can make honest money…

    I bookmarked your page.

    Thanks

    • Nice Roopesh 🙂 normally, I would not go for Fiverr, but if you can provide a good service and need the money, go full force with it.

As for Udemy, I am sure you possess knowledge in a specific field which you could offer up in courses on Udemy, something worth looking into!

And as for Wealthy Affiliate, I honestly think it would be the next level above Udemy since you could go full force through this program and make a full time business out of it, potentially more money through this option.

  33. This is an awesome list!

I have tried Fiverr and Freelancer myself, but Udemy really surprised me.

Sure, I checked them out before and even got one or two lessons there, but why didn’t I think about writing or being an instructor there? I’ve never even considered it. Now I’m heading over there haha..

I must admit that I have not heard about Lynda before, but if it works like Udemy, I’m willing to check it out.

This list is legit. Thank you for sharing, hope to see more of this.

    • Both Udemy and Lynda are great but the route I’d go between them is deciding on which of their platforms and requirements match with your knowledge. So if you possess skills on say how to teach kids to study from home, Udemy would be a better option here.

  34. Of all the platforms you recommended, Wealthy Affiliate is my favorite. It is the best place to learn how to earn online. The learning process there is exciting as tons of information and knowledge are posted there, and new training and new ideas are shared on a daily basis. What I like most, among many, is that it teaches you how to ethnically build, grow and succeed as an online entrepreneur. It is for people of all levels – not only for newbies. I know a lot of experienced online marketers who joined the platform scaled up their income quickly by practically using the methods they newly acquired from Wealthy Affiliate.

    • I agree with your there, it’s also my favorite because in the end, they help you become your own business person. As someone who is one of the experienced guys from there, I totally attest to this 🙂

  35. Your article is full of information. I had heard of several of these opportunities, but the brief explanations I found here really helped. I am particularly interested in fiverr and udemy. I happen to have a couple of courses that I could present through Udemy and some expertise I could offer through fiverr.

I do have experience with Wealthy Affiliate. Your description is right on. Through Wealthy Affiliate classes I developed an online fishing equipment business. Its been fun. I would recommend the Wealthy Affiliate program to anyone. But, I also want to offer a course that I have written so I am going to take a closer look at Udemy. Thanks for your article.

    • No problem! It sounds like your fishing site is doing well. If it really is, I’d put more priority on that business than Udemy. The only thing it’ll hurt is the work time you’d be able to put into your existing site.

  36. Really cool list man! I think this is a great variety of opportunities for people to look into. Most people are either fan boys for one company or are dismissive about other ways to make money online. Everyone’s not created equal. So I’m glad you put this together to show people they can use a variety of resources to make money from.

    • No problem! Yeah, I agree, that not every program is perfect. I’ll even be the first to admit, even though Wealthy Affiliate is my personal favorite, not everyone wants to work for themselves, maybe they just want something to do more immediately for another person and that’s just their preference, so there’s certainly more than a few options above for that.

  37. Thanks for a good rundown Vitaliy! A interesting mix with different ways to create an income from home.

Me, myself has started out with Wealthy Affiliate as you mention as a option you like. Even if I haven’t got so far yet in the courses, I love it and can for sure recommend it!

But I personally like to diversify my income a bit, so for sure I will check out some of your other tips too in the near future.

    Marika

    Reply
    • Well you can totally diversify through Wealthy Affiliate since you’re already there Marika, by that I mean, you can aim to make more than 1 website on different business topics to monetize off.

Normally though, I’d recommend doing this after you have 1 good website.

If you require more immediate income, you’ll probably make less in the long through the other options, but you will be able to make something to pay for some immediate expenses.

  38. Thank you so much for such an informative post. You had some great suggestions. I am particularly intrigued in the amazon flex program. I recently had a very small package delivered from Amazon on a Sunday and the person was driving an unmarked standard sedan. I took a doubletake on it, and now I understand this interesting opportunity better. Take Care, Heather

  40. Hello Vitaliy,

Great post on work from home sites. This is the first I’ve heard of many of them. Fiverr sounds like a great place to interact and find new leads.

Along with the Amazon Mturks program they also offer a program that lets you design clothing, hoodies, t-shirts. Mturks is the program that lets you do “hits” right?

I’m not sure what the name of the program is about designing clothes but they cover the cost of production, materials, and you share in the profits. This is what I’ve been told anyway…maybe look into that?

I have taken your advice and signed up for a few of the programs you recommended here. Thank you…keep’em coming! 🙂

    • I have never heard of the clothing design aspect of mechanical turk since in my experience, it is only a program where you complete objectives for other businesses, but it is interesting to check out this aspect of it if it exists.

  41. Hello Vitaliy

What an interesting post. I have to admit to having a giggle at the ‘Task Rabbit’, I’ve never heard of this service before 🙂

I’ve used Fiverr as a buyer and had some very good results as well as a couple of flops.

Wealthy Affiliate is still my platform of choice for learning all there is know about internet marketing and I can earn at the same time.

    Thanks for the information

    • Yeah Fiverr is one where you really, really need to be careful if you’re new. I think people who do well there are either people who give out gigs and have a good reputation from it and/or those who are experienced buyers of gigs who can distinguish who are the good sellers and who are the bad ones.

  42. Hi Vitaliy,

Great post! I knew of some online businesses that offer income in exchange for product reviews etc but I didn’t know how lucrative this field really is.

Like you said, the internet will continue to grow so it’s a great opportunity to get into some kind of online work now!

I look forward to searching some of these websites to see whether any will work for me because I love working online.

    Thanks,

  43. Great list Vitaliy. Theres definitely some sites here anyone can use to make a nice buck!

Personally I’ve tried Fiverr and think the marketplace still has room for growth. Unfortunately I didn’t have much to offer but if you have a skill (and don’t go for basic graphic design services) then there is demand.

    Thats just my two cents.

    • Agreed Jacob, especially on them being able to grow. I think they really need to work on their review system so the garbage gig givers are filtered out to improve the trust of the site. I think people have immediate satisfaction from buying gigs there so they offer up good reviews initially, but certain things they buy there may only start to rust or get bad over time, so there needs to be some sort of update review where purchasers can indeed verify if they are happy in the long run with the gig they bought.

  44. Great article! From my experience, some of the ten are better than others, but all of the ten will net you some extra bucks, some in the short-term, some in the long-term.

It goes without saying that Wealthy Affiliate can be the most profitable of the 10 because there is no ceiling with how much you can make. However, it does require some patience that a lot of people don’t have if they’re trying to pay rent.

However, I highly recommend TaskRabbit for making money. If I can make good money by helping people move or building their IKEA furniture. Especially if you have a car, you can get a lot of jobs from people, and once you get rated highly, the job requests will be flowing.

It’s good to give people options, and this post does exactly that. A lot of people want to make money in their spare time, but they don’t know what they can do. This gives a great outline for some of the opportunities out there!

    Reply
    • Yeah Task Rabbit is great if you’re more of a handy person and I can definitely see good money being made, but let’s be honest, you are limited to the time of the day and your own physical abilities. It can be exhausting to carry heavy furniture, set it up and keep doing that over and over, or fixing things constantly.

Which is why I agree with you on WA Maxwell, better to make something that’ll automate an income for you.

  45. Wow Vitaliy, thank you very much for this post. This is indeed a great resource for someone looking to make that extra buck, or for people with skills who have been laid off due to work force reduction. I am particularly interested to know how easily is it to get “cheated” on some of these sites? For example, iWriter or Freelancer, is there any protection for the writer in case the buyer decides not to pay by not “accepting” the final product (but use it anyway)? Thank you.

    • I’m sure there’s terms under which a third party will get involved to sort it out Steven, kind of like when PayPal or a credit card company tries to resolve a dispute between a merchant and buyer.

  46. Hi Vitaliy,

An outstanding resource for us seeking genuine ways to make money by means of the internet or thanks to the internet (in the case of amazon prime delivery).

One that you missed out is Upwork broadly similar to freelancer where you can do a number of tasks depending on your skill set (the possibilities are almost limitless). From writing jobs earning $10 per 1000 word article to well, if you are an ads expert or google adwords proficient, $100/hr to run an ad campaign for someone.

There are also a whole host of programming jobs for coders, and graphic design jobs that pay very well also.

    • Nice call on Upwork Derek, and I have personally done ads for clients/friends before, there is certainly a need for someone who understands how PPC works to help business people pay less and get more traffic.

  47. Great Information Vitaliy. You’ve open up my eyes to more revenue streams.

Is Amazon Flex just for USA or is it international?

Very curious on the eHow stuff. If you can get paid up to $50-100 per article it could be worth the effort. I like writing technical articles and could server a good purpose there.

    Reply
    • You can try registering there and see if they’ll accept you Vin, but you will likely have to show some of your own work to prove you knowledge and the capability to be on their writers.

As for the Amazon Flex question, honestly, you will have to find out if international countries are allowed.

  48. I thought I knew most of the work from home opportunities that are out there, but I learned of a few more. Amazon Flex being one of them. Thanks for that. Sounds like a potentially good opportunity. Currently I am only part of #10, Wealthy Affiliate and wouldn’t change it for anything. Just curious, how long have you been with Wealthy Affiliate?

  49. Great review Vitaliy, I have heard about most of these companies, and have at one point used up to 4 of them in my life.

I think if someone is in need to for some extra cash sooner rather than later, these companies can defiantly help them out.

Have you used any of these companies yourself and seen good results? If so, which one — and do you have any tips or tricks to help a newcomer?

    Reply
    • I’ve personally used #10 and because of that, I have been fortunate in that I haven’t had to rely on the other 9. Although they are all great, I think ideally having your own business and nest egg is really the end goal, at least for me personally, Wealthy Affiliate is the one which can provide the best long term results.

I am also interested in Udemy as I have heard about them but didn’t know I myself can be an instructor and create a course. That is definitely something I would like to know, so thanks for this!

    • Yeah if you can prove that you have the skill set, maybe through a verified certificate, I’m sure Udemy can let you make a great course 🙂
