Many years ago I joined a program called Wealthy Affiliate to learn how to make money online and in addition to actually teaching me that, it also became my #1 recommended program for anyone with the same goal. This review will detail how that all works and I will also show my income reports, plus those of many other members too.
Quick Report:
- Name: Wealthy Affiliate University by Kyle & Carson.
- Price: $0 starter program (Click here to join for free). Premium program $49 a month. Also Premium Plus program $99 a month.
- Ideal for: Complete beginners-advanced.
- Does it work? Yes, I will provide you with MY personal income stats (and show you other success stories below).
- Final Rating: 10 out of 10 stars (Green flag & the only program I’ve ever rated this high).
- Update to review: Added 2023 income results (see below).
Why Wealthy Affiliate is my #1 recommendation for making money online:
Call me bias if you want, but after reviewing/trying over 200 different programs over many years that all promise riches online and nearly all of them being scams/garbage, the only program that still continues to deliver REAL results for me is Wealthy Affiliate.
It is my #1 recommendation for helping you TRULY make honest money online, especially if you are a beginner. In fact, here’s a full/updated review I made for 2024 regarding this program and why I love it (in case you don’t want to read the entire article):
Note: If you still want to learn more about the WA program, you’re more than welcome to read the remainder of this review, but there are areas of it that are a bit outdated (the video above is the most updated review of the program). If you have questions you’re more than welcome to reach out to me below!
5 reasons I recommend WA to ANYONE who wants to succeed at making money online:
Reason #1: It’s free to join.
No CC, no personal info, no risk. See for yourself.
Reason #2: The support is amazing.
You get 24-7 help if you need it, including from it’s creators who are millionaire marketers. Through the many programs I’ve tried, lack of support has been a huge deal breaker. Most places rarely answer your questions or give you the right guidance. With WA, the support is second to none.
Having someone to help you is absolutely vital to success online. You can and will have questions and when that happens, you will need someone who will be qualified to answer them. And this is where the amazing support comes into play:
- In WA, you can ask/post any questions which will get answered almost immediately.
- There is also an online chat available 24-7 where there are always members around who are actively helping other members (including myself).
- And in addition to this, you also get my personal help (one of the bonuses of joining), for free.
Join WA for free here and get access to the amazing help & support to succeed online.
Reason #3: It’s really a 1 stop destination for becoming successful online.
Too often I see people searching for the “next best thing” in making money online whether it be expensive training or just hopelessly bouncing from product to product looking at it like a lottery ticket. This is WRONG and only leads to failure.
The secret to making money online is this: Proper guidance. This is exactly what you get in WA and there’s no reason to find something elsewhere, because what you learn within WA is up to date and legitimate. Most importantly, it works.
Reason #4: Legitimacy.
It teaches you honest ways to make money online via helping people while doing what you love. It really comes down to these 4 steps.
Reason #5: I have personally been with WA for over 12 years so I personally vouch for them.
You can consider me one of their many success stories (see real reviews from other members below). It is through their training and guidance that I was able to experience my first success online and now, it is a full time thing for me (income proof is coming up shortly).
Prior to finding them, I went through a very bad cycle of scams/failures online which lasted nearly 3 years. Today I do online marketing full time and earn money from home. I attribute the success to the training I got here. If I can do it, you can too. And with that said…
What is Wealthy Affiliate?
In short, Wealthy Affiliate is a training program that teaches you to build an online business. This could be based on a personal interest/hobby/passion/expertise you have or if it’s none of these, they show you exactly what you need to do in order to make consistent money online.
Now creating an online business isn’t scary at all. In fact, it’s fun and you can do it on your own time. The end result through the training at WA is that by building your online business, you can earn enough money to either:
- Quit your job.
- Supplement your current income.
- Have more free time to yourself.
- Spend more time with your family.
And basically get to do the things you want in your life and not be held down by anyone. In short: Financial freedom. As I said earlier, I do this full time. I’ve experienced 6 figure results implementing what they teach. Though how much you can earn varies, one thing I can promise you is that if you implement what they teach, you will get results.
Am I earning real money through Wealthy Affiliate’s training? I totally am! Here are my income reports:
I work as a middleman (affiliate) for multiple companies and am actively making an income from 2. Altogether, I make over $4,000 a month:
2015 income report:
Update 5/29/16: A 2015-2016 year update. The income has increased.
The original income picture you saw was recorded up until August of 2015. The current one was taken from that period up until May of 2016. As you can see, the income I get from those same affiliate programs has increased:
- The first one is averaging over $5,000 a month when it was originally $4,000.
- The other is actually making twice as much as before. From $200+ to over $400.
And I also have a 2017 report for you guys (I update this page every year):
I wanted to show you these pictures to point out that with an online business that you learn to create from WA, you will be learning how to create a truly stable income that if you keep working on, will increase.
And the updated 2018 & a little bit of 2019 report:

How Wealthy Affiliate works:
There is a lot of training within WA that teaches you various ways to make money online. All the way from A-Z. But if you’re completely new, the best way to start is through their Getting Started section. This takes you through the meat & potatoes of building an online business from scratch (preview coming up!).
Even if you have NO idea about what you want to build an online business out of, the training will show an optional path you can take in which you learn to make money in a specific market.
Long story short: Begin with the “Training” section. Click it and it will take you to the “Getting Started” training. This will guide you through everything and answer all of your questions. Here is how the training section looks:
And once you click the “View Course” button, here’s a preview of the first 10 lessons (Level 1):
How the training helps you make money online:
The training is broken down into 4 different parts. Each part has step-by-step lessons which you’ll follow. They are all focused on building a profitable online business. Here’s how it works:
1) Choose an interest (niche):
This is the starting point. While it can be anything you want, it is recommended to pick a topic that you personally have interest in (and I will help you with this personally, just join here, go through the tour and I’ll contact you).
When I began doing online marketing with WA, I chose the diet & fitness topic because I have personal experience & interest with.
2) Make a website:
With WA, you don’t need any experience in making websites. They actually give you 2 free websites which are yours to do with as you please. The sites are pre-built and coded so you don’t need to worry about anything. You just select a name for the website & how you want it to look. The process takes less than 30 seconds (I’ve timed it).
Note: The key is to use the training from WA and apply it to the free websites you’re given.
3) Get visitors:
In order to make money online, your website needs to get traffic (visitors). The more you get, the more money you can make. Through WA’s training, you’ll learn how to get visitors to your website interested in the subject you chose.
4) Make money:
You’ll promote products on your site and when visitors come and buy, you earn money.
Example:
- For step 1, I chose teaching dogs tricks as a subject.
- For step 2, I’d make a website focused on that subject.
- For step 3, I’d get visitors to my site interested in this topic.
- For step 4 (the money part), I could promote products from other places like Amazon (books, training DVDs, dog training accessories, etc…) and earn money every time a visitor purchased these things from my site.
There are literally millions of different subjects to choose from to earn money with. Each subject has a large amount of people interested in it who look for information on it on a daily basis.
By having a website with that information on it, you can leverage this and earn money in the process. This is exactly what WA will teach you to do, even if you have no prior experience with this stuff. The amount you can make is really limitless.
My personal results applying the 4 steps on one of my websites:
I’m still growing the same site and it’s traffic. Furthermore, I’ve made other sites using the exact same steps and they are also getting 1,000’s in traffic every single day (and sales). This formula can be replicated in ANY niche topic.
Very important: This is a process and not a get rich quick scheme. But the lessons are very simple to follow. Each lesson is in video/text format and has a “to do” list at the end. As a starter member (which is free), you get access to the first 10 lessons of this training. By the time you finish it, you will have:
- Chosen your topic.
- Created your website.
- Established the foundations necessary to start getting visitors & earn money.
This place is all about TAKING action as you go through each lesson. You’re not going to be reading/watching tutorials and nodding your head. You’re actually going to be putting what is being taught into action.
The training itself will take you across the A-Z of online marketing. By the time you finish it, you will be an advanced internet marketer and in many cases already running a sustainable online business that’s earning you money. It can be supplementary or even primary like in my case.
Niche topics I’ve personally made money with thanks to Wealthy Affiliate:
- Making money online.
- Weight loss.
- Dieting.
- Selling fitness equipment.
- Selling women’s fitness DVDs.
How long does it take to see results?
If you put what is taught into action, you can start seeing results within a few weeks. I’ve tried WA’s approach to online business on various sites. With ones with less competition, a few weeks is usually when you start seeing results. They aren’t big (at first), but it’s a starting point that only grows. With more competitive niches, typically 3-6 months.
Are there faster ways to see results? Yes & no. Most programs which promise fast results use shady methods of marketing which only work in the short run and then your site gets penalized by Google & other search engines. What is taught at WA is completely straight forward and focused on long term results. The BEST thing you can do to see the fastest possible results is work at it everyday.
Do what is taught in the training and apply it on a daily basis. This will bring about results the fastest way possible, but focus less on making money and more so building a business. There’s a BIG difference.
So if you’re here to make make a quick buck, I’m sorry to disappoint you, but that’s not happening. Not with WA & not with any other program out there. And any place which promises you this is a scam. Take it from someone whose stepped on that rake MANY times. There are people making 4, 5, 6 and even 7 figure incomes doing this stuff and they’ve reached this point because they followed through the training.
- WA also features a Premium Membership that’s available for $49 a month.
- Additionally, there is also a Premium Plus membership that’s available for $99 a month.
Free membership (Starter) vs Premium vs Premium Plus:
Starter: Starter members (free) get access to communicate with the community, including Kyle and Carson (both for 7 days), get 1 free website and also access to the Level 1 training.
Premium: I very often get asked about the premium membership and want to explain it here. It’s optional, costs $49/month, but it provides access to everything within WA including:
- 24-7, 365 support. To myself, every member and the founders. You get this as a starter for the first 7 days.
- You can make up to 25 free websites.
- Free hosting for up to 25 of your own websites.
- Weekly webinars covering all aspects of making money online to further help you. There’s over 300.
- 1 on 1 coaching & support from WA’s creators, Kyle & Carson.
- Access to 100’s of training tutorials.
Premium Plus: This is an entirely new layer of Wealthy Affiliate and is without a doubt the membership with the most benefits. Rather than list them all in bullet points, I have a screenshot of everything that you get from ALL 3 of these memberships so you can see it yourself.
Here is a comparison of the benefits of each membership level:
My advice on where to begin:
There’s obviously a lot of benefits with premium and certainly Premium Plus, but my advice is to try the starter membership (which is free) and see if you enjoy what you learn. If you do and want to go further, then I’d recommend the Premium membership.
No one is ever pushed into premium. It’s all a matter of if you feel comfortable. Only try premium if you’re happy with WA. It is optional and you are welcome to stay as a free member as long as you like 🙂
Wealthy Affiliate’s Pros & Cons:
Pros:
- Provides all forms & levels of internet marketing training.
- Simple to follow step-by-step training with tutorials and videos.
- Very newbie friendly.
- Provides excellent support.
- Gives you 2 free websites.
- Costs $0 to join (no funny business, no risk). Join here.
- Gives you access to top level internet marketers and support.
- 24-7 online chat if you have any questions.
- One of the few places where you learn to make money legitimately.
- This is the most ethical program I have ever come across.
Cons:
- Possible information overload usually happens for first timers, but this vanishes quickly.
Final Rating: Wealthy Affiliate.
Green Light (My #1 recommendation).
10 out of 10 stars. Highest rated program I’ve ever tried and made money from. It’s legitimate, beginner friendly and the support is amazing. This is the program that will make you GOOD money online if you use it.
If you want to succeed online, here’s my BEST advice:
- Try the starter membership.
- Go through the welcome tour and get started with the training.
- I’ll personally contact you in WA after you join.
There are NO risks and if you don’t like what you see, you can leave anytime you want, without being obligated. And even then, you’ll still have 1 website to do with as you please. Furthermore:
Just please just do me 1 favor:
If you like it there, I’d really appreciate it if you come back to this page and comment on your experience. People who want to make money online really need to know about this place. In fact, here is a message I got recently from someone who knows about my coaching and their feedback on it:
My final thoughts:
WA is without a doubt my #1 recommendation for many of the reasons I stated above. If you’re looking to make an extra buck online or perhaps go further and do it full time like me, this is by far the best place to show you exactly how to do it. Join it today.
The key to success is utilizing proper guidance (which WA provides & my coaching adds to) and taking action. With these ingredients, I promise that you will see results. If you have ANY questions about WA or if you’re a current member would like to leave your personal review, you can do so below in the comments section.
Hey Vitaly, am totally sold. I’ve been thinking of joining for some time now, I’ve just been kept busy with college lately. Is there any way I contact you personally? I still have a few more questions I need to ask.
Just sent you an email 🙂
hi what abut some one like me have no money no job no bank account is there any hope for me in here ?
Yes there is Ray. WA is perfect for testing the waters with their starter membership. You get training, websites and the RIGHT support to help you get going. You can then use the websites and build them up as you like.
Are there any easier online jobs than this that you know? I have read all that you have said and i am not really good at all the website creation and looking for customers. Can you recommend some that don’t require much stress. I am a housewife.
Hi Nadia, online jobs are a tricky subject so I’ll try to best answer your question but this program for example isn’t a job. It’s a training program to help you build your own business.
To me that’s easier (and less stressful) than having a job where I have to work for someone or fill in information. I only know that you can write for other companies. That might be what you’re looking for. Check out (in the search bar) my review on legit writing jobs. I’ve listed 5 places you can view for those specific positions.
Just wanted to also say we have a lot of house wives in WA as well :). I believe it would be best to just see what WA is all about in their free membership first. I think many of your worries will go away when you see how awesome it is there.
I have read your review of WA as well as some of the comments and there’s one thing that is still not completely clear. It looks like I can get access to the information and websites for free, but if I want to actually start making money with it I have to start paying $47 a month. Is that correct?
Not quite Nathan. You actually CAN make money with the starter membership. Premium is designed to help people go the entire way with online marketing. One of the best ways to describe this is to compare it to a GPS system.
Consider having a road map with points A & B, A being where you start and B being where you end up and are successful online. The starter membership will give you the right route to go. They’ll tell you to head along this road and what to avoid along the way. Premium will take it further in that it will guide you through every single mile especially if you get lost as well provide constant support if you need it.
Now with starter, you also DO get amazing support for the first week you’re there so if you decide to join, I’d take full advantage of the support (the chat, asking questions and speaking with me as well). This will really help gauge where you are at and where you’d like to go.
Some people are fine with the starter, while others decide to go premium and love that too. You can start as a free member and see how you like it there before deciding on the future.
One thing your readers might keep in mind is that once you go premium and pay for a year then decide to stop the program you will not get a refund. They do not answer the phone. Everything is done through email. They tell you if you ask a question to Kyle or Carson it may take as long as a week before they get back to you. I have the option of finishing out the year but have moved on to other things. Don’t get me wrong the program is good if you have a lot of time. I say that because it is slow moving.Good luck.
HI Lou, thanks for the comment, but there is a bit of a misunderstanding which I’d like to clarify:
1. You are correct about the yearly thing, but by the time people go for the year, they already know they’re making the right choice. Most members prefer the month to month choice, while others stick around in the free membership until they are ready to move further.
2. There current support system is in many instances much faster than calling via phone. While there is no phone contact, you do have the 24-7 chat and private messaging and email available. I have never seen a program with better support than in WA.
3. As for timing on responses, you’ll often see Kyle & Carson in chat (several times a day) and they respond within a minute of an inquiry. And if they’re not around and you contact them through the private messaging system, you will get a response back usually within 24 hours. The week long thing only happens on rare occasions when there is some sort of an emergency.
4. I have to disagree about the slow moving thing as well. The program is geared to move as fast as you’re ready to go. You can ALWAYS go to the next level when you want. Some people go through the training very quickly, while others progress at a slower pace. It’s fine whichever speed you decide to go.
So it’s 0 dollar start up and then you have to pay for a membership?
Explain why? I am not saying it is unreasonable. Just want to understand more of the true costs of continuing with this program.
Sometimes when things aren’t said up front and then I find out later I feel deceived. I just would like some clarification. Thanks.
No problem Mary, I understand your worries and would be more than happy to address them. The starter membership is given out so people can grasp the fundamentals of online business as well as to show them that WA is a very legitimate place.
There are a lot of free services out there that a lot of people/places take and charge a price for which is unethical. WA doesn’t believe in that so they’ve set up a whole bunch of lessons and other free things to try so you can understand how the business works.
As you may have read in my review, there is a premium membership available at WA for $47 monthly, but this is an optional membership to join. This is really the only actual expense if you go further with this program. You will never be hard sold or pushed into this in WA. They never endorse nor practice those things. You can see it for yourself. Just know that there’s really no hassle.
My “bad” Vitality. I have gone back through your review and have no idea where I got the idea that you said that you had given two other programs a ten out of over 100 that you had reviewed. BTW, your review for WA is one of the most thorough one that I have ever read.
No worries Tom. Thank you for the positive feedback 🙂
Vitaliy,
You have rated WA as a 9 and said that you have rated only two others as a 10. Are they still around and why is WA reviewed here and they are not?
Not sure where you saw me write that I rated other companies a 10 Tom, but I’ve never rated any company higher than a 7 (other than WA).
Does the program cover SEO, and if so, is the training updated to keep up with what is working currently? Thanks!
Absolutely Jeff. In fact, most of what’s covered in the training revolves around SEO. As for updates, YES, this is one of the only places that’s truly updated. Most importantly, they never use any black hat tactics so you can be assured what you’re doing will work today, tomorrow and well into the future.
I am considering WA but was wondering what if any devices I would need access to. Would I need to use a computer or does it not matter. Thanks.
Just a computer (or laptop) is fine Shawn. This is the most important tool to this business. Some people say you can do this through a mobile device, but it’s very difficult and in many cases, programs on those devices aren’t compatible with a lot of things you could do on a regular computer.
The two sites, what platform are they? Are they wordpress, or just some static html/css site?
All the sites are made via WordPress Travis.
I am a member of WA. I have not paid the the premium membership which I’m still contemplating. I have a questions for you.Why is it that every company you review gets mostly negative marks and WA complete positive? Isn’t a bit bias? Don’t get me wrong I do like WA and that’s why I continue to go to the site. (And no I don’t not work for any of the companies reviewed, I haven’t worked in about 2 years). Jobs are hard to get when you have certain things working against you which is why I went the work from home route,I always wanted to do from a young age. I have tried about three of the reviewed qand the results were not good. I go on WA and look around, read some comments but that’s about it. I try to look at reviews for anything work from home and affiliate marketing is my favorite. I use to get emails in the beginning from WA but they stop, I guess because I didn’t buy the premium package. Anyways, you reviews are good and informative but I like reviews with a bit of fairness, because what migh not work for you might work for someone else and visa versa.i will try a few more companies reviewed and see how things work out. Thanks again for the read.
There is complete fairness to all my reviews Erica 🙂 I can see how you may think there’s bias going on, but allow me to explain why WA rates so highly vs the other programs I’ve reviewed:
I’ve tried/tested and experienced many programs in my time. I didn’t know what was actually good until WA came around. The biggest difference with them vs the others is that they don’t sugar coat anything.
It takes hard work. There is no get rich quick scheme and unlike the other programs which I’ve tried that do claim that, they fail in that promise because there is no get rich quick scheme on this planet short of a winning lottery ticket, but what are the odds of that?
The other programs all promise fast riches, making money within 24 hours and are all trying to sell you an idea which everyone wants to believe is real. But that’s the message and their programs are all seeking to make money, not to inform, not to offer value, but just to make as much money as possible.
WA does the opposite in that it puts people ahead of business and this is why they are so successful. This also is how they teach people to make money, by helping others while most programs endorse shameless marketing. Again, all the focus on those programs is a quick buck vs having a long term business.
Finally the support: This is difficult to find elsewhere, especially live chats. Most of the time, you’ll get people trying to offer you bogus bonuses to keep you around, or it takes forever to hear a response, after which you may have your question answered (if you’re lucky) or it may cause 2 other questions to come up, which also takes a lot of time to hear answers from. You’re always going to have questions and you’ll always get answers, fast with WA.
There are less than 10 programs I’ve reviewed so far which I’ve rated 5 stars and above so there are good reviews every now and then. I wish things would be different, but sadly, with internet marketing, more focus is on money than truth.
I’m glad you’re part of WA right now. You really don’t know how bad it is out there with all the scams, out dated training, up-sells, ect… If you explore the other products, you’ll quickly see why WA is better.
Hope this clarifies things 🙂
Amongst choosing an interest, expertize is mentioned. Is it possible to set up a site which does time billing through WA? If so how would it work? Would WA take a percentage?
Also if I set up a site to sell products. How does WA make their money as in a percentage or flat rate? Same question as it would apply to how I would be paid?
Thanks,
The websites you set up through WA are free Bob. There is no billing for this. WA does not take percentages for any site you make using their free website maker nor the profits it makes.
If you set up a site to sell products, WA will not make anything off this. They only make money if you buy their premium membership and that’s all there is to it.
As for being paid, it depends on which affiliate network you do business with. For example, if you sell products through Amazon, they would be the ones to pay you. Other vendors such as Clickbank, Linkshare and Commission Junction will all pay you on their own and WA has no connections to this.
Hi
I really appreciate you a lot for the Great reviews in general!
But I’m sorry, regard WA’s review,
I really can’t understand, especially having honest and transparency as your top prerequisites, as I do,
How come you didn’t mention at all,
The 7 days limitation?
and especially why didn’t you criticize WA for their cheap marketing trick of totally hiding not just the 7 days limitation, but also the 47$/month premium membership!
(Why didn’t they simply state it clear and simple upfront?
after all It’s expected to get a business offer.)
How can I trust WA?
Is this their way to build a honest relationship?
What else do they hide?
I really have trusted you as a lighthouse in the cold dark ocean of scams,
and now I’m a bit confused and even more frustrated since this is your #1 recommendation!
The 7 days is only in regards to using the live chat. You get 2 websites and access to starter training for as long as you like. Nothing is being hidden here. Premium was also mentioned in the review 🙂
Vitliy,
This form of marketing piqued my interest so I took the time to read the comments / questions after your review. The issues Ram addressed above gave me pause because you made it very clear in your review that the 7 day trial was free and the websites coming with the trial period would remain with the member if they chose to discontinue using WA. You also featured the option for the Premium package, albeit appearing rather deep in your review, at a price of $47 per month w/ a 1st month discounted rate of $19 if purchased within the 7 day trial. So I want to WA’s website and found there is NO MENTION of a Premium Service on the site. The only mention of a Premium service can be found in the “terms of service” agreement but the monthly cost of $47 is NOT MENTIONED in the terms of service nor is the $19 1st month (provided purchase takes place in the first 7 day trial period.
That being said, I do find this concept interesting. I was fortunate enough to be able to “retire” from my time on the New York Stock Exchange in my 30’s to do a lot of volunteer work. I often miss the thrill of making my own money so I am considering having some fun with this concept. I would enjoy the opportunity to have some email exchange to explore this further in a more private manner.
Thanks much,
Kate
PS: I think you should tell your the people at WA to fully disclose all programs they offer and the cost of said programs. The concept of lying by omission does not create a trustworthy image. Just my opinion.
Hi Kate, the premium membership is mentioned within this review as you said, but it is also mentioned within the members area once you join. Kyle, Carson and myself leave a message on your profile, firstly welcoming you to the community and helping you in getting started as well as informing you of the premium membership.
The premium membership is always optional to try, but everyone is welcome to join the starter and get a real feel for the community and everything provided. Hope to see you there and I’ll send you an email as you requested 🙂
This seems pretty legit, but if I were to decide to leave, what would happen to my websites? I want to make sure that my content would stay mine even if I decided to leave…
The free websites you get, you can keep for as long as you want even if you decide to leave Dottie 🙂
Cool. I also read some of the websites with negative reviews just to check up-I didn’t see much that concerned me but I’m curious about having your write privileges suspended. What exactly does that mean and what would warrant that?
When it comes to making websites, blogging, you have the right to speak your mind. This means you can write negative reviews so long as they are honest. If I purchase something and don’t like it, I have every right to explain why.
If on the other hand, I go on some sort of rant and say very defaming things that I haven’t really proven, blatantly lie, threaten or do something along those lines, people do have a right to complain about that.
So long as you’re honest with what you write, it is your opinion and you won’t have to worry about anything 🙂
Hi Vitaliy
Thanks for your review on payday shortcut you save me. I was about to join this program yesterday but when got to end I got a error massage URL cannot be found. That’s when google and found your review Thank God. I have been scam so many times before. I am just looking for legitimate way to make money on line I am going check out WA starter membership Thank You Alleyne
Thanks Alleyne. I know what it’s like to fall for these things myself. It’ll be a pleasure to see you in WA 🙂
Thank you. I stumbled on this after running into a spam site. Now I am starting with WA and excited to get out of my creative rut.
Great Ariel! You’ll find that the training will help you come up with tons of ideas!
Would WA be a good option for high school students that don’t have enough time in their schedule for an actual job (i.e. me)? And what would be the upkeep on websites like these? I realize that I could probably find the answers to my questions by trying WA, but I really don’t want to start anything before I’m fully informed of what I’m committing to. Also, how are you paid by the site? I don’t want to give out bank account information or anything, obviously, even if WA is a reliable program.
Thank you,
Kara
WA is a good option for anyone who wants to build a website based on their own interests, including HS students Kara. As for upkeep, the 2 sites you get, you can use for as long as you like at no cost. There’s no need to give out any bank info or any other sensitive information because you won’t be asked for it. As for payments, if you wish to join premium, you can pay via paypal and as for being paid, it would depend on the affiliate program you’re registered with.
I found that your internet marketing reviews to be spot on, Wealthy Affiliate is indeed a great course especially for newbie internet marketers and experienced marketers who haven’t broken through and had big success yet, the amount of training and the community is very positive. I am very interested to here your review/feedback on Source Phoenix SEO which has been buzzing around the internet community lately. Love your blog thanks!
Thanks Imhotep. I’ll also check out the program you mentioned.
Vitaliy…you mention being with with WA for 6 years, yet in your screen capture, you show accumulated visitors to your site from nothing in September 2013 to over 500/day in April 2014…..that isn’t your initial site, correct?
Can I ask you how many sites do you have on WA…..and do they typically follow this trend in traffic generation?
Thank you!
Correct Mj. The stats are for this current site you’re on. I have had and do have other sites I’m working with in other niches. I don’t have an exact number, but it’s under 5. I host most of them with WA.
Hi Vitaly
I left a comment on your blog two nights ago about how I was scammed by Empower but managed to get a refund from another scam site High Traffic Academy,at this time I mentioned that I may join WA to have a look and see what it was like.
Today I got an Email from WA, apparently I joined over a month ago, even though I do not recall this, and I did not even use the site for the 7 first free days.
I will probably become a premium member because I have never seen a bad word said about WA, but after the problems with previous sites I would like to have a look first.
Is there any possibility of turning back my “membership so that I can use the 7 days to look at WA.
regards
Lawrence
Hi Lawrence, this shouldn’t be an issue. I’ll contact the owners of WA directly and let them know. I will email you directly as soon as they give me an answer. Shouldn’t take more than 24 hours 🙂
How can I do this if I dont have a niche? I dont have any hobbies, im not good anything. Does wa provide products for me to sell and do you have a RE247365 review?
Hi Sarena, WA provides you with a niche to work with if you don’t have one. It’s involved with promoting within the online marketing niche. The training explains all of this so you have nothing to worry about. As for the program you mentioned, I will do a review on it shortly, but from what I’ve seen so far, it’s an MLM, so odds are my review will not be so favorable.
Once I decide my topic of interest, is there a way to change it?
Thanks for the time.
Yes absolutely Rob. But if you already have a site set up which aims to focus on one topic, it’s better to make a new site to switch to the new topic. With WA you get 2 websites to use.
I’ve read a lot of reviews about WA. Seems like it is a very good opportunity to earn money online. I tired to sign up. Unfortunately, the free starter account isn’t free in the Philippines. I really wanna try it, but i need to pay $47 dollar for it.
Just frustrating. Is there any way I can try it first for free?
Hi Grace, I’ve notified one of the owners. He will provide an answer very soon. Once he does, I’ll email you.
Hi There,
It says all over it’s free to join…. but then what? It’s obviously costs something at some point? What is the cost after the “Starter” period is over? 🙂
Thank you!!
There is an optional premium membership available. However, do note that you get to keep the 2 sites you’re given as a starter so if you leave, you can still keep and use them as you like.
The premium membership is the next level of training and other perks that WA provides. I recommend checking out starter first and seeing if this is something you like, although I highly recommend it 🙂
Hi I just started with WA through your review and I’m hoping I have as much success as you have been getting your review was well informing for me so please let me get some hints and tips to get as much as I can to get my foot through the door
Hey Guevara, glad to see you joined WA! I saw you join and sent you a welcome message with the best tips to get the most out of it. To reach any level of success in online business, I suggest following WA’s training and working at it on a near daily basis. This is what I do and it will get amazing rewards in the long run.
Hi, just found your article while checking out some other earn online sites ( that turned out to be scams). This looks like what I have been looking for, just one question; I have a facebook-page with over 137000 followers. Can I use my page to get visitors to my WA blog when I make one ? I mostly post other people’s recipes there, but was thinking of making a blog with adsense to post my own recipes, wonder if the blog WA gives me can be used in the same way.
Happy for quick response to get me started, thank you, Marith
Hi Marith, to answer your question: Yes you can totally use your FB page for this. My only recommendation is to not use your site for anything other than promoting things related to your topic which as you mentioned involved using your own recipes.
I think it’s absolutely great that you have a large following and you can absolutely use this this when building your site, put recipes there and link people from your FB page to the site and give them more value.
WA provides an entire course on socially sharing your site and doing it correctly. You’re well on your way with the amount of followers you have!
Hi! I am so glad I came upon your site! I was two seconds away from signing up for CAH University when I decided to double check on it. You definitely saved me there! 🙂 I’m thinking of trying out WA but I’m not quite sure. I am looking for more income though considering I am starting college in a month! Would you recommend me try this? Or just keep working my job? I work at Ace Hardware.
Hey Elizabeth, thanks for your comment. Firstly, I am glad you avoided the scam that is CAH. As for WA, since it’s free to sign up, I would recommend you at least check it out to see what it has to offer. I understand your skepticism with college coming up but it just so happens I got into this business when I was a student myself.
Though I eventually did it full time and paid for school while doing it, it doesn’t mean you have to follow in the same footsteps. See what WA has to offer you and if you want to stay/go, that’s completely up to you 🙂
Hi,
Can you please tell me how genuine is ‘Click clone cash’.
I am very new to this affliate world and i follow this site for your reviews.
Thanks a lot
I just added the review. Enjoy 🙂
What are the “special privileges” that you only have during the 7 day trial?
Here’s a # of things you get during the first 7 days:
Access to online chat where you can get support.
Access to Kyle & Carson (owners of WA) and get assistance from them. You can reach them during chat, or post a question which they or others in WA will answer (including me).
Access to myself as well. If you have any questions, just post the question or you can find me in chat.
Get it all here.
After the 7 days, if you remain a starter member, you still get to keep the websites you were given. They are yours.
Hope this helps!
Vitaliy
Just checking out your site and have a question: Once you’ve joined premium, are you expected to fill some sort of quota or can you pace your self according to your needs?…so far,I like what I see. Some scams are almost laughable. The more I read here, the more I like. Thanks
No quotas whatsoever Rod. You go at your own pace. It is your business, your rules and your own freedom to do whatever you like with it 🙂
hello thanks for the article, i couldn’t create an account on that site because of my region, can you please help me to notify them and help me create my account with them. i will really appreciate if you can do this for me
I’ll let them know. What region do you live in?
Hi Vitaliy,
I would like to know your honest opinion about Home Job Group which is recommended by ScamXposer – is it legit?
Thanks.
I just did a review on this place M. Overall I can’t give it my thumbs up because there are many red flags that pop up in my eyes when I tried looking into it. However, one thing I can say is that they are associated with Clickbank and they are good at refunding if the situation arises.
Thanks so much for your kind reply, Vitaliy. 😀 I will have a look at your review shortly.
thanks for your enlightening review. But I wonder why most of the programs or products online exclude Nigerians. We also want to make legit money online. Please tell me how a nigerian can make money online.
I honestly have never heard of such a problem existing. There are affiliate programs which prevent certain countries from registering under their program but that’s something you’d have to ask them directly. WA teaches people from all over the world to make money. I’m certain that even if you live in a country that doesn’t allow you to become an affiliate, there will always be another one available that will.
Hello i have tried several times to sign up but i keep getting the message that i already have an account so i go to the send me passwords page and it says i don’t have an account i have tried this with 3 of my email addresses are you all still taking enrollees?
Hey Halimah, this is prob happening because you might have tried signing up and even though it didn’t go through, your IP address was recorded and this is why you’re getting this message. I’ll personally contact the owners and let them know.
OR what I recommend if you have the chance is to try and sign up through this site again, but through a different computer (different IP address). WA is always accepting new invites so you’re OK 🙂 Let me know how this works!
Update: I’ve spoken to the creators of WA and they will manually sign you up. I emailed you the instructions on what to do through the one you provided in your comment. Please let me know if there’s any issues!
Thank you for the review of those online internet scams. I was thinking about following through but I remembered 1 important thing. If you have to pay to get a job, you are not an employee but rather a client (or sucker in this case). I have been doing sales for the past 3 years and am finding it to be a little depressing seeing how just about all my colleagues are out for themselves. I wanted to see about something innovative like online marketing. Sharing what I like with other like minded people and of course being able to get paid for it without being reprimanded for not meeting someone else’s quota. This sounds like a good route to go because I would like to one day just be my own boss and call my own quotas. I am thinking about checking out the free start up, it seems that there is nothing to lose and everything to gain. If I do happen to join up, I will be asking you about a million questions to make sure I have everything down that I need to be successful.
No problem Aj. You can ask me all the questions you want. I’d be more than happy to help. I completely understand your reasoning for wanting to try this. WA is def the best place to succeed in online business. Do note that this kind of thing does take time. It’s not a get rich quick scheme and work will have to be put into the business to make it work. But at the very least, like you said, try the starter membership as there’s literally no risk 🙂
Hi Vitaliy,
I did sign up for WA about a year ago as a newbie and it was overwhelming. I’ll definitely look at it again. Thank you.
Anyway, I recently started my own Blog which also give honest reviews on money making opportunities and marketing tools I’ve been involved with or used.
I really like your review of Dotcomsecrets. What may I do to get that article on my Blog?
Regards
Mark
Hey Mark, sometimes the initial stages of learning online marketing can seem overwhelming, but WA has made it as simple as possible to understand. There have also been changes since last year and many updates done to the site so I strongly suggest checking it out as it’s gotten much better!
I took a look at your blog and you are off to a great start. I hope it brings you the success you are hoping for.
As for the Dotcomsecrets, I’m afraid I don’t sell & don’t allow people to use my content or guest blog. It’s just a personal approach to things. I always recommend people write their own content especially from their own unique writing style.
Thank you for your feedback 🙂
No Problem.
I was thinking after sending my comment, I actually wanted the “How to spot online scams?” Great article.
Anyway, I look forward to your next article.
Regards
Mark
Thanks Mark. I usually update posts on a daily basis.
How does one find or create a niche market? Does training help with this? Not sure how one’s natural interests translates into a marketable business. Could you expound on this as this would seem critical to success. Thank you. M.L.
The VERY first thing Wealthy Affiliate teaches you is what a niche is and how to find YOUR niche market. In a nutshell is comes down to taking a current personal hobby, knowledge and applying to to a group of people (niche market) that is interested in it, then building a website out of it and getting that niche audience to it.
Let’s say for instance I possess experience in painting miniature models. There’s a niche audience that’s interested in that subject and I could make a website focusing on painting tips for these miniatures and even promote things like paint brushes, paints, miniature models and start a following. The opportunities with a niche market are endless because if you do things correctly (And WA shows you how), that niche market can eventually expand into other markets and attract more visitors which will = more success.
Hope this makes sense 🙂
Thank you Vitaly. Your answer was of great help. Still not quite off the fence yet but leaning towards at least testing the free part out. The drawback for me is that while it would seem there is nothing to lose, after making a number of similar online attempts putting in significant time and effort and money with absolutely zip for results one has to step back and wonder. (albeit my attempts were perhaps without the additional support/training WA seems to offer with Kyle and Carson.) Nevertheless Phillip brings the point vividly home on that score of time and effort vs. results which is also very much appreciated. M.L.
I know exactly what you mean, believe me! Before I stumbled onto WA, I also had many failed attempts at online marketing which led me to question anything and everything I was pursuing. This was over a span of several years. It’s certainly depressing, but at the same time, one thing led to another and here I am today.
Like you said at the very least, try the starter membership and see what’s up. For the first 7 days, you can get a lot of the premium perks as a starter so I’d recommend taking full advantage of that. If you like it, it’s completely up to you if you want to stay or not. Even if you don’t want to, you can still apply the starter training to your own personal sites as it helps set up the foundations needed to move forward.
There’s no hidden costs or surprises. Also you can directly communicate with me through the chat & your profile you set up (as well as this site) if you have any questions. But please remember, this is NOT a get rich quick scheme. Everything you learn is about building a sustainable online business and that takes times. But with the will power to succeed and the training at WA, I don’t see any reason why you won’t 🙂
Let me know if you have anymore questions!
Vitaliy
Okay, I just got really scammed by WAHI (Work At Home University). I paid $97.00 upfront (all I had left in my bank account). I requested a return, but they said it would take 2 weeks for it to be credited to my VISA card. How do I know if you are for real? I need to know for sure before I get started. Please let me know. Now I’m short $100.00 for my rent and don’t know what I’m going to do. Sorry to vent, but I’m very upset………..
I completely understand your frustration Nancy. I reviewed WAHU and rated them an absolute scam. Just for the record, WAHU and WA are completely different organizations.
I would personally recommend opening up a dispute with your bank on this and telling them what happened. Going forward, I recommend never putting money (especially if you’re tight on it as it is) into something you haven’t been able to test, no matter how good they make it sound. Always research the company!
If you’re still looking for opportunities, try my #1 recommendation. It doesn’t cost anything to join. There is a paid option, but it’s optional. But at the very least you will understand how the process of internet marketing REALLY works.
Hello Nancy. Wealthy Affiliate is real and so are Kyle and Carson. Carson just became a new father. You should sign up for the free membership which will also give you the option to try out the premium membership for $19 for another 30 days after the 7 day trial premium access.
But if you are in a financial bind right now, I would not recommend you put out your hard earn money on any program. Get that straightened out, put a percentage of money aside that you are will to make sacrifice for your business and don’t expect to get that money back. The reason why I’m saying that is if this is a business to you, you have to understand that it’s set aside for expenses to invest in your education and it may not get you the returns in dollars, it will provide you the knowledge you need on your journey toward internet success.
WA will not instantly solve your financial problem overnight. It will take months to even get your website ranked, but the training is good and well paced for a new person in internet marketing. But you have to set your expectation. If you like what you see and you think WA is of value, then you also have access to promote WA or the two free websites that they offer through Siterubix.com.
There are two types of income people are making online: active and passive. Building a website that search engines will pick up and you provide value to the people who visit your website will snowball into passive income because the site is always online as long as you keep the website and many months and years later will be seen by people that will bring in money.
What you probably need right now is active income. It is usually quick and but it is usually a short term financial gain. For instance, you can be an eBay seller or an Amazon seller. You have many valuable products around you that you probably don’t even know. Why not sell them if you don’t them to clutter your home? Or if you are a savvy thrift shopper, you can check out clearance items and put those up for sale on eBay or Amazon or even Craigslist? I have an Amazon seller app on my iPhone and I can shop near my local Walmart or Target and find deep discounted items that I can scan and see what Amazon has already and post it without ever having to buy the item from the store. Even if you do, you still have 30 days to return the items if it doesn’t pan out.
Sorry for the long post Vitaliy and Nancy. I just feel that members who go premium on WA don’t have the $47 to put out every month. They haven’t thought through and maybe this is their first time ever starting a business online which is great because you’re not going to lose your shirt if you’re smart about it. Now I’m speaking in respect to those offline seminar that scammers promote at hotels that most of the time don’t pan our or once they get your money, the support disappears.
So many WA members work so hard trying to learn and they sacrifice so many hours. I can literally see their joy and excitement when they accomplished a certain task or make their 1st dollar. Yes just one dollar for months of slaying away at their laptop and away from their family. It breaks my heart to hear that they can’t afford to put out $47 to continue learning and improving.
You can get a free website any where: siterubix, wordpress, blogspot, wix.
You can also Google for free information about building an online business and not have to buy anything. You can also download itunes to your PC and subscribe to podcasters such as Pat Flynn or the Internet Business Mastery. They are guys you can really trust and it doesn’t cost you any thing to subscribe to their podcast.
So in summary, prepare yourself Nancy to become an entrepreneur. Get your financial matters in order and your expectation also. This is a monumental decision you’ve have made in your life and you shouldn’t define it as paying for a membership service or buying a magic bullet that you think will solve all your problems. It will make your journey much easier if you set these matters in perspective. You have the potential to fire your job one day, so don’t make you the cause of your own failure. You can do this, I’ve seen many honest people who have, but set your expectation, focus on your passion, and make your commitments to yourself and your family.
All good Phillip! Thank you for taking the time to write all this 🙂
Thank you for the review on Online Profit Stream,OPS
That was a pop up window on Publishers Clearing House Website,, I was ready to pull the trigger, Very glad i did a little research and was able to find your review, Thanks for saving me a $100 bucks :),, I,m going to check out WA
Awesome to hear that Jimmie! Let me know if you have any questions 🙂
Is this site owned by Vitaliy streizhus??? You wrote ‘Vitaliy’ at the end
No. My name is Vitaliy, but I am NOT Vitaliy Streizhus 🙂
Thanks for your articles.
I too am a member of WA myself but not too active but after reading your comments I will go active again.
Can you comment on these?:
1. Academy of Online Success
2. dotcomsecret.
I did review of DotComSecretX which is affiliated to the original Dotcomsecret and didn’t rate it high. As for Academy of Online Success, I will be doing a review on that since you mentioned it :), but honestly I will likely recommend WA above all. It just has everything you need.
Too often people try to find shortcuts in online business and end up looking for alternatives. I can promise you there is no fast track unless you possess the proper guidance. It sounds cold and depressing, but the truth is it isn’t! Once you have a site set up and it’s getting traffic, it’s just a matter of time before it can become a business which earns you a full time income 🙂
Update: I just did a review of the original program you asked about (Academy Of Online…). Not a bad program, but I gave it a yellow light. You can find it in my recent reviews.
Hey great insight to the wealthy affiliate program. I am a member there and from experience can say its a great place to learn and achieve with the support of the community.
Thanks for commenting Tejas :). Always nice to hear from a fellow WA’er.
hi vitaliy i have one more question:
can i make money useing starter membership?
thanks
Absolutely. The starter membership gives you the fundamentals of the business. You pick a niche, you set up a website (Which will cost nothing). You will install certain plug-ins to make it easier to search engines to spot you. As for what happens after, I recommend adding content to your site every single day in the form of posts/pages, but before you do that, make sure you understand what your niche is and have your site set up. This is what the starter membership will help you do.
Of course, you CANNOT make money during the 7 days of free trial, unless you are an advanced skilled IM. OR if so, this is pure luck but NO it s not fair to tell people they can make money in 7 days with WA.
Saying so it s a lost client or another one who is gonna claim everywhere that WA is a scam. Sorry but i am a member of WA and i will never tell YES to that question.
John, you are mistaken. There is no such thing as a 7 day free trial for starter members.
You can be a starter member of WA for as long as you want. When you join, for the first 7 days you get access to special privileges, but after they go away, you still keep your website and still have access to starter training.
While the initial training does not cover the money making aspect, if you add content to your site consistently, you can/will get ranked, get traffic and yes it will be possible to make money.
Siterubix websites rank just as well as any others. Hope this clears things up.
HI
I’M LOOKING FOR WORKING ON INTERNET
I RED YOUR REVIEW ABOUT BRING THE FRESH AND YOU HAVE BIG THANKS FROM ME
DO YOU HAVE REVIEW ABOUT WORK FROM NO HOME SISTEM, IS IT OK ? DOES IT HAVE ANY HIDEN COST LIKE BRING THE FRESH?
CAN WA HELP ME TO PROMOTE CLICKBANK PRODUCTS AND MAKE MONEY FROM IT?
THANKS
I did review Work from No Home. It’s OK at best, but it’s not something I would consider complete training for internet marketing. I think I gave that rating 4 star out of 10 (borderline). If you want to look up the review, you can just type it up in the search box above and it will show up.
As for WA, what you’ll learn is basically how to create a website, attract visitors to it and potentially monetize from them in the process. The good thing is that you don’t have to focus on mainly CB products to do this. There are a WIDE variety of affiliate programs to choose from online. Also I have to tell you that this stuff is NOT a get rich quick scheme. You are building an online business and this takes time to develop, but once it does, it can provide you with a stable income.
My best advice is to try out the starter membership of WA since it costs $0. Start there and see if this is something you can see yourself doing.
All the best!
There are very few online opportunities that are Legit in fact I have been scammed quite a few times myself. And quite frankly I’m really sick of it. Your review I found very informative, convincing and really encouraging to know what Wealthy Affiliate has to offer and also the benefits of trying before buying(as it were) with the free starter membership. Thank you so much for sharing what I too believe is a Legit online business opportunity. Cheers!
Thank you for your comment Pat! I’m glad you’re happy with WA. Know whatever your online goals, this place will help you achieve it.
BEWARE! This program is a fraud.
Anyone that claime things like this
“Can you get rich quick with Wealthy Affiliate? ”
is BREAKING THE LAW! (where is the FTC Requires Income Disclaimer?)
Also, when someone is writing NEGATIVE reviews in order to promote their personal agenda … Be Ware!
Bet this comment get’s deleted.. if it does it shows this BLOG OWNER is a FRAUD!
Jimmy, I’m not sure if you’re part of any company that’s been reviewed here or not, but I’m going to clarify and explain why it is you’re wrong on pretty much every statement you made above:
1. Beware this program is a fraud. Have you actually joined it? It’s literally free with no personal information required. How is that a fraud?
2. Anyone that claims things like this “Can you get rich quick with Wealthy Affiliate?” is BREAKING THE LAW (Where is the FTC required income disclaimer?) First off, you don’t understand the FTC rules. Those rules are set for transparency and that’s exactly what you’ll find on this website. The full statment I made above was this: “One thing this place is NOT is a get rich quick scheme. In fact there is no such thing. Anyone who promises you that is promoting a scam, I promise you, having been in these situations more than once!” That is the truth. Seems quite transparent and FTC abiding to me, but I’ll let the readers decide.
3. Also, when someone is writing NEGATIVE review in order to promote their personal agenda … Be Ware! There’s certainly truth to that statement, but I’ve been a part of many companies reviewed on this website and know exactly what they are all about. Therefore, I have credibility and right to provide my opinion on them. For the ones I don’t, I’ve carefully researched them and provided an honest opinion. The fact of that matter is out of all the massively horrible and somewhat decent companies I’ve seen, only this one has gone above and beyond my expectations.
If you want to have a rational and logical discussion about this subject, I’m up for it, but if you’re just going to point fingers and offer general arguments based on theories off several words, not the whole post, and accuse me of fraud, then don’t bother posting here again. Good luck to you.
Jimmy sounds an awful lot like an EN guy trying to discredit your statements. You’ve done a nice job here Vitaliy.
Heh, thanks Matt 🙂
Yes I have a question for you about Wealthy Affiliate? Do they offer lead capture pages and teach me how to Build a list? Or do I just have a Blog and try and sell all different Affiliate Products? I’m confused because I’ve been in done for you Business Opportunity where everything is included with products to sell what am I going to be selling here at WA?
Hey Dave, before I answer your specific questions, I’d like to comment on the done for you business opportunity places you mentioned which supposedly have “everything”. This is actually not true.
These companies will claim those benefits in order to get you to buy their system. Their hook is to give you the impression that internet marketing can be an effortless business through their products. Here’s the truth about these places:
1. Many places which provide “everything” you need have outdated tools and methods of marketing which no longer work. Pure Leverage is a prime example of this.
2. The ones which provide auto responders with leads are usually difficult to figure out and/or the leads you generate are difficult to contact because most of your emails will go into the spam folder.
3. Most of the paid services and benefits they offer you can get for MUCH less and even for free at Wealthy Affiliate.
4. The training they offer you is abysmal at best. In order to get any REAL training from these places, you’d have to probably pluck down a ton of cash. Empower Network is an example of this and even the training you get from these places is more hyped than good. You can get way better training at Wealthy Affiliate.
The main point I’m trying to make here is that a lot of these companies which promise you everything give you nothing when you join them, unless you pay them $1,000’s and even then, the training is second class. I see this cycle again and again.
But to answer your questions directly about Wealthy Affiliate:
Do they offer lead capture pages and teach me how to Build a list? There are no lead capture pages provided at WA. You are taught how to build an email list from scratch. This training is located in the classrooms section of the website.
Or do I just have a Blog and try and sell all different Affiliate Products? You do get 2 free websites/blogs with the free starter membership. You can use this blog to capture leads (if you have an auto responder) or promote any affiliate product/s you wish. WA provides training in promoting any product in any niche you wish to pursue. Most other places only teach you to promote their brand only.
What am I going to be selling here at WA? WA offers a lot of products and services which you could sell to leads or through traffic which goes to your website. Here are just some of the many products/services they provide:
-Honest training in A-Z of online marketing (Certification course, affiliate bootcamp & classrooms which go over every aspect of online marketing).
-1on1 coaching from the makers of the website Kyle & Carson.
-2 free domains (unlimited domains if you join their premium membership).
-Unlimited hosting.
-You can also promote WA itself. They offer training for this specific goal through their “Bootcamp” area which breaks down into 5 phases, 10 lessons in each phase.
-24-7 online chat support to ask any questions.
-A keyword tool called Jaaxy which provides access to deep keyword analysis and statistics as well as plenty of other benefits.
I’d recommend joining the free membership first as it’ll help you see what the site has to offer. There is no personal info required to join. Just your name and email. I’m also available there (and here) if you have any questions and will be more than happy to help you 🙂
I remember finding WA after getting scammed HARD a couple times. What really sold it for me was the free membership. They didn`t use any pressure tactics or obligations to get you to sign up, only providing pure quality as a show of things to come. Really says something about Kyle and Carson`s integrity!
That’s very true Chip. WA never pressures anyone into doing anything, something that adds massive comfort to anyone looking to get into this industry. I wish I could say the same for other places, yet sadly I cannot. Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for such a detailed Review. I Joined WA after being online and making almost nothing. Great tool for both beginners and those looking to move from passive income to a full time income.
Absolutely true. It is for online marketers of all levels, be it people who know nothing about this industry to those who want to make a full time income doing it. I honestly think their platform offers the best tools as a member to succeed in the industry.
I am a member with WA. I like how give a brief description on all WA has to offer. This will allow the reader to know exactly what to expect. I like how you present the starter member and the premium member no hidden charges and yes WA is free and will always be free but WA has so much more to offer and cost is almost nothing, if you paid for each class by itself.
I appreciate the comment Theresa! You’re absolutely right. There really are NO hidden charges with WA. What you see is what you get from them.
I would have to check the IRS on this one but I do believe the $47 Premium Charge would be an allowable deduction on one’s tax return. Such business deductions might also extend to a dedicated home office, the cost of one’s computer and a portion of one’s internet access fees.
One MUST also bear in mind that income as a service provider to multiple companies receiving commission dollars from many different companies would make one an independent contractor rather than employee. Such income is paid in it’s entirety to the independent contractor without any withholding for taxes and social security. One does not receive a W2 from said companies providing the IRS with gross income and net income after deductions paid by an employer. Rather the IRS will be notified of the total gross earnings on a 1099 form. It is the individual’s obligation to pay the IRS on a quarterly basis. This requirement extends to state and local taxes as well as social security payments due. It is wise to establish a separate bank account for such income making it easier to keep all records in good order. Those earning 1099 income are more likely to be scrutinized by those nice folks at the IRS than those who file with W2 reports that spell out all withholdings. The other downside to not being diligent about quarterly estimated taxes can find themselves a bit short of cash due come tax time if they think they have $1,000 to spend on a $1,000 commission check. Doesn’t work that way.
Hi Kate, while I am not an accountant, I would like to add how I handle taxes in this topic. Taxes absolutely need to be paid and when it comes to WA or making money online, I recommend people first explore the business and once they are doing well, to then open up a corporation that best suits their needs.
When I started, I didn’t open up an official corporation until I was earning every month. My accountants suggested I open up an S-corp and I do taxes every 3 months. I do write of my WA membership as an expense as well as my computer and any office expenses (paper, printer, ect…) that are relevant. This has helped me out a lot. I also register with my EIN number with every affiliate program I sign up with.
People who are getting started shouldn’t worry about this until they are making money. After they are, then consult with an accountant about the best way to continue. Opening up your own corporation is definitely a good option.
One thing that has always been at the forefront of any “addition” within the Wealthy Affiliate community has been member success. Plain and simple, WA’s success has been built off of the fact that we care about other people’s success.
If anyone is reading this review and is still on the fence, here is my suggestion to you. At the very least check out the Starter membership which doesn’t cost you a penny and no credit card required. This is going to be your introduction to a community that cares about you and your long term success.
Hi, just wanted to say Wealthy Affiliate is fantastic so far. I’ve been with the program for just over one week and have learnt so much in that time. Vitaliy has been a great help and support.
He really know his stuff and I hope to learn as much as I can and apply those teachings to build and grow my online business. I really can’t fault anything so far. Everyone at WA is incredibly helpful. Any questions you have are answered well and very quickly too!
Here’s to everyone’s success at WA!
Thanks Chris, it’s awesome to have you with us in WA 🙂
I’m also a member and I totally agree with Jenna.
Thanks for the wonderful review Vitaliy.
Great review.
I really like that fact that Kyle and Carson are upstanding people, especially in this day and age. They don’t have to help others, but it says a lot about the integrity and pride that they and Wealthy Affiliate has.
Yes, I am a member. But I will say that at first I was skeptical and I did not pay to get started. I love that…how many places let you check them out for free? My mind was changed after I saw how much training/education they have. No one can fail if they do the training and never give up.
If only all businesses were like this, the world would be a different place.
Thanks for this review.
Thanks for the feedback Jenna. We basically share the same opinions about WA through our experiences there, but articulate it differently. One thing we can always say with confidence is that WA will never turn their backs on you and will always be there to help you when you need it. That sets them apart from any other IM business I’ve had history with.
Would you still get free hosting after the 7 day trial period
If you made the free websites, then you keep them and the hosting for as long as you wish. If you are a premium member and have hosting with them and decide to leave, you get 30 days to move the hosting to a new provider. Hope this helps!
Hi Vitaly,
Me and my wife are no business people but in music ( producing etc ) and painting. My wife is a very talented painter so I see an opportunity for her to sell her art online. So the question is – will this kind of internet marketing you offer will help her paintings to get out there and what are the actual costs to deliver big canvases for example to USA?
We live in Estonia.
Thank you Vitaly.
Hi Aivar, I think selling art through the internet is actually going to be easier than doing it the normal way. I was an art major back in school for a few years so I know how difficult it is to sell art anywhere unless you have a name of yourself. With Wealthy Affiliate and the internet, the odds improve a lot.
There are websites such as Etsy where you can sell your art, but ideally your wife would have to build a name for her website. It’s not that difficult. She can teach people to draw through her site and in that manner connect with customers from all around the world and get noticed by many.
For shipping, this is a topic that varies. I would assume the shipping costs depend on where you plan to send your canvases as well as by what means. You would have to inquire about the costs at your post office or where ever you send mail and packages from for specific prices.
But the internet and WA would be a great way to expand her reputation.
